Ramses
Book hereIn the heart of Madrid, opposite the Puerta de Alcalá—part of the Paisaje de la Luz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site—Ramses is an iconic destination where gastronomy, mixology, events and lifestyle come together in a non-stop concept, open 365 days a year and hosting more than 700 events annually. Ramses is structured around seven distinctive spaces: Terrace, Champagne Bar, Nomad House, Lobby, Crystal Room, Kitchen and Villa Torii. All are driven by one clear principle: creating innovative experiences that leave a lasting impression.
The story began in 1996, when Jorge Llovet opened his first venue, Bar Independencia, at the same location. Eleven years later, in 2007, he transformed it into Ramses, featuring original interiors by Philippe Starck. Fifteen years later, Paris-based studio Jouin Manku—founded in 2006 by French designer Patrick Jouin and Canadian architect Sanjit Manku, and renowned for creating interiors for luxury hotels and boutiques around the world—completely redesigned the spaces to celebrate the venue’s anniversary. Llovet himself has explained that Ramses’ success has always been rooted in bringing together nightlife and design in a format that was unprecedented in Madrid. Today, the venue has hosted more than 10,000 events over more than fifteen years, with capacity for groups ranging from 10 to 1,800 guests.
